Pirates: Come Get Your IE7

Microsoft has removed the requirement for WGA validation when downloading Internet Explorer 7, meaning users of pirated copies of Windows XP can now experience tabbed browsing Microsoft-style. Additionally, and more likely the reason Microsoft has removed this requirement, they will be protected by the newer security features in IE7. After all, tabbed browsing for XP was available via alternatives such as Maxthon, Avant Browser and, of course, Firefox.

Interestingly, IE7 was introduced almost a year ago, yet IE6 remains the most-used web browser. This change will likely boost its numbers.
