Tupperware, Move Over --- Here Come Taser Parties
As you may recall, Taser International introduced the Taser C2, a model explicitly targeted for women. Well, the first "Taser Parties" are being organized in the Phoenix, Arizona area by Dana Leigh Shafman, 34, the owner and founder of a new Taser International dealership called Shieldher.
The Taser C2 comes in in colors such as electric blue, black pearl, Titanium silver and metal pink. It comes unactivated, with a background check necessary before it can be used. Also, the C2 disperses serialized confetti whenever used.
At the parties, the women drink some sparkling cider (men can come too, if they want), discuss things, and then Shafman gives a demo with a cork dummy. Although not affiliated with Shieldher, Taser International has provided units for the parties as well as instructors.
At a price around $350, the C2 is racking up plenty of sales for Taser International, and helped them to record revenue in the third quarter ($28.5 million).
