More Leaked Sony VAIO P Specs

Information continues to leak out about the upcoming P-series Sony VAIO. We discussed its specs earlier, and the new information that's coming to light serves to confirm earlier reports, and adds something of interest: a price.

As we already knew, the Sony Vaio P will have an Intel Atom Z250 CPU (1.33 GHz), 2GB RAM, HDD and optional SSD, GPS and 3G modem. The new info says prices will start around €700 ($974 at the time of this writing).

At the same time, Sony Japan's site has updated their front page slightly, with the women who pulled the new VAIO out of her purse being replaced by a kimono-clad woman pulling it out of said kimono.

Finally, the image below was sent to a MySony member, teasing still more about the upcoming product.


No information on the 8" 1600 x 768 screen size that was leaked earlier, but since that leak came via Sony's own site, it's probably pretty solid. The original leak said Jan. 9th, so we'll wait anxiously as that date approaches.
